Review by hotel critic
Tucked away in the Juso area of Osaka, Toyoko Inn presents a surprisingly compelling option for budget-conscious travellers like myself. Priced at a mere $40 per night, I enjoyed a spacious room equipped with a flat-screen TV, kettle, and essential toiletries. The bathroom even boasted a relaxing tub—perfect for a long soak after a day of exploring. What struck me was the convenience; just a short seven-minute walk to Juso station, with Umeda only ten minutes away by train. This access allowed me to dive into the city’s rich history without burning a hole in my pocket. Nearby restaurants offered ample dining options, ensuring I didn’t have to go far for meals. While there was no daily housekeeping—just a simple towel exchange system—I found the staff friendly and accommodating, which added a nice local touch to my stay. The hotel’s free breakfast featured a variety of Japanese and western options, making sure your mornings start on a well-fed note. Toyoko Inn offers an attractive mix of value and comfort, making it a prudent choice for any traveller.
